At first this one appears a little more shy than your average grenache. Even when we coaxed it out of the bottle it was giving little hint of what we were in store for, with no nose to speak of….
But in the mouth it was a completely different story, revealing lush berries and long smooth acidity. Spicy and floral.
After an hour of breathing it began to develop a subtle nose as the wine revealed more of its complexity.
A keeper for mellowing over time, but it would be great to try to cut through a steak.
